Welcome to Kwansan Singapuras. We are UK breeders of the Singapura based in Surrey, the South East of England and are members of the Singapura Cat Club.

We are very proud to now be sharing our lives and home with this fabulous breed alongside our large short haired moggies and our rather bouncy Border Terrier.

When I first met a Singapura I was drawn to their big eyes that draw you in, big ears, soft short silky coat and cuddly personality. Now that we are living with Singapuras we have our very own hair stylist with a free wash and restyle whenever we like. One of our girls also gives a great facial, which includes special exfoliation properties (their tongue like all cats are a little rough). All this is we have found to be typical of the breed, whenever you want them they are there, and sometimes when it would be easier without help from a four-legged friend. They simply love affection, purr like a steam train and love to get under your duvet or up your jumper, but they much prefer it when you are in there too. They are gentle, nosey and playful little cats who are particularly fond of warmth. Singapuras are extremely persuasive and know just how to go about getting that extra moments cuddle or an extra minutes game.

When we first brought our girl’s home it was no time at all before they had wrapped us around their little oval paws. As a breed they are determined and if you have even the smallest of cracks in your heart they will be straight in there filling it with love. They have a devilish charm which enables them to get away with just about anything and their size means they are able to get just about anywhere. The fact that they are small also means there is always room to ‘just get one more’. Singapuras are extremely sociable with people, other cats and dogs etc and because of this I would never recommend one living as a lone cat with someone who is out for long hours during the day. Now that we have Singapuras I can not imagine life without them. Having lived with and loved and been loved by a Singapura I wonder how I missed having them for so long. I can honestly say that if you have never loved a Singapura then you have never truly been loved......
